Yale Professor to Speak at Obama Inauguration

A Yale professor will get a major honor next month when she reads a poem during President-elect Barack Obama’s presidential inauguration on Jan. 20.

Elizabeth Alexander, a professor of African American studies, was a Pulitzer Prize finalist in 2005 for her collection "American Sublime." Last year, she won the $50,000 Jackson poetry prize.
