An 18-year-old high school student was arrested during a drug sweep at Amity Regional High School on Friday.
Supt. Dr. John Brady asked officials to sweep the school and the Woodbridge Police Department and the Statewide Narcotics Task Force brought dogs in on Friday.
The school was locked down as crews searched the locker areas and the parking lots, police said.
Police said Daniel Cote, 18, of Bethany, had marijuana, packaging materials, a digital scale and cash. He was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to sell within 1,500 of school grounds and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Cote was being held on a $5,000 bond as of Friday afternoon.
No students were searched during the sweep, police said.
