Strong winds took down trees and power lines, leaving thousands of people in Connecticut without power for much of Sunday.
Most of the outages were in Stafford, Willington and Tolland.
According to Connecticut Light and Power, a tree on a primary distribution line was to blame for the majority of the outages.
As of 7:45 a.m., most CL&P customers have power.
Sunday brought in the coldest temperatures of the season, with highs in the upper-20s or low-30s, accompanied by strong wind gusts.
