A Job That Doesn't Pay

Some people hate their jobs more than others and a 60-year-old woman might be feeling a little regretful about her alleged career choice after being arrested by West Hartford police.

Oksana Lysenko has been convicted 40 times since 1983 and has spent considerable time in the slammer but that apparently has not stopped her from pursuing her passion, the Hartford Courant reports.

Lysenko faces new charges after police caught her leaving a residence on Brentwood Road in West Hartford with $400 worth of jewelry, latex gloves and a screwdriver, police said on Wednesday.

Lysenko is accused of using the screwdriver to force open the door to the house, which she picked at random, the Courant reports.

She was arrested and charged with fifth-degree larceny, third-degree burglary and second-degree criminal mischief. She is being held on $500,000 bond and is due in Hartford Superior Court on Aug. 20.
