2 Injured When SUV Crashes Into Building on Berlin Turnpike in Newington

Two people were taken to the hospital after the SUV they were in crashed into a building on the Berlin Turnpike in Newington Sunday night.

The SUV was heading south when it went off the road and crashed into the Floors Now store at 2516 Berlin Turnpike at 11:47 p.m., police said.

A man was driving and a woman was also in the vehicle, police said. Both were transported to a local hospital and their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Town building officials have cleared the Floor Now building for occupancy.

The Mid-State Accident Reconstruction Squad arrived on the scene and Newington Officers assigned to the Squad have taken over the investigation.
