Teacher Accused of Inappropriate Contact With Student

Police said Robert Pfeiffer is accused of inappropriate contact with a student in 2010.

A 30-year-old former teacher has been arrested, accused of inappropriate contact with a student.

State police said the inappropriate contact happened in 2010, when Robert Pfeiffer, of Hebron, was a teacher at the Academy of The Holy Family in Baltic, and the juvenile was a student.

Pfeiffer was charged with risk of injury and impairing the morals of a minor.

Officials from the Norwich Diocese said the complaint was made in April 2010 and the school notified the diocese, state police and the state Department of Children and Families. They said they could not comment further because the legal process is ongoing.

Bond for Pfeiffer was set at $50,000 and Pfeiffer is due in court on April 26.

The Academy of The Holy Family is a Catholic day and boarding high school for girls in grades 9 through 12, according to its Web site.
