A fire broke out in the basement of a home in Glastonbury Friday morning and part of Main Street was closed as firefighters work to put out the fire.
The single-family home is on Old Maids Lane and part of Main Street that accesses the road was closed.
People who were in the house made it out safely.
Fire officials initially said a Christmas tree in the home was on fire but later said the tree was not the cause of the fire.
