“Dr.” Dexter Davis is accused of leaving a trail of defunct bank accounts, bounced checks, unpaid bills, angry “employees” and dead-end addresses from Atlanta to Hartford.
The Republican-American of Waterbury says tales of the con artist are bringing out more complaints.
Police say Davis, 43, has spun a web of lies, there are at least four different versions of his stories and his stop in Connecticut might have been what did him in.
Davis is now in police custody, but authorities said they aren't sure how to make serious charges stick.
