Cops Stop Bus to Thwart Alleged Abduction

Troopers tracked down a charter bus to rescue a teenage girl who reported that she was being taken to New York against her will on Monday evening. 

The teen called 911 just before 6 p.m., and cops tracked down the bus on Interstate 84. It was on its scheduled route from Boston to in New York.

Troopers boarded the bus and found the girl, who did not appear to be hurt. They charged Kibew Watson, 27, of the Bronx, N.Y. with interfering, criminal impersonation and failure to submit fingerprints. He will be arraigned in Waterbury on Wednesday.

Police would not elaborated on what or whom Watson allegedly impersonated. 

According to the Lucky Star Web site, the bus offers trips between Vernon and Boston and New York but no tickets are being issued until further notice.
