A Danbury minister whose mentoring program has touched dozens of boys' lives is out on bail after being arrested for second degree sexual assault and related crimes.
Rev. Troy Grant posted $250,000 bail over the weekend after Danbury Police arrested him.
Police charged him with three counts each of second-degree sexual assault, risk of injury, risk of injury involving sexual contact and providing alcohol to minors.
Grant's mentoring program, Pathways Danbury, is part of the Jericho Partnership, a church-based social service network. According to Jericho Partnership, 70 boys at risk of dropping out of school had entered the mentoring program and 75% had graduated from high school or were still in the program.
Rev. Grant will appear in court on Monday.
