Dari Farms is closing its distribution centers in Tolland and Milford, according to a notification sent to the state, and the closings will affect 97 employees.
A letter the human resources manager sent to the state Department of Labor said the company planned to close the distribution centers on or around Oct. 18.
In a letter on Oct. 16, the company said it extended the closure in Tolland to allow sufficient time to close the distribution center operations. They now expect to closed the Tolland center on Nov. 8, with layoffs coming between Oct. 28 and the date of the closure.
The company’s website says it distributes ice cream, beverages and salty snacks between Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and southern New Hampshire.
