Desmond Tutu to Make Last U.S. Speech in Hartford

He will speak at the World Youth Peace Summit in May.

Nobel peace prize winner Archbishop Desmond Tutu, who worked against apartheid in South African, will give his last public speech in the United States in Hartford.

Tutu, who received the 1984 Nobel peace prize, will participate in the 2011 World Youth Peace Summit on May 20 at the XL Center in Hartford.

Tutu will also bless the Connecticut Peace Walk and serve as the Grand Marshal on May 21. The Institute for International Sport is hosting Peace Walks all around the world on May 21 and 22.

Tickets can also be purchased at the XL Center Ticket Office beginning March 31 at noon.

Weekday ticket office hours are Noon-5 p.m. For weekend events, the Ticket Office will open four hours prior to the start of an event. All ticket purchases are subject to additional convenience fees.
