Driver Smashes Car Into Cromwell Rehab

A 67-year-old man accidentally smashed his car into Apple Rehab in Cromwell on Wednesday, police said.

After 9:30 am, officers determined that the driver, Michael Allen, of East Hartford, accidentally accelerated his car forward and crashed into the front exterior pillars of the rehab. Allen was trying to maneuver his car into a paring stall at the front of the building. No one was injured.

There was no structural damage that would harm Apple Rehab employees despite supporting beams being struck, Cromwell police said.

Allen won't face any charges.
