Two people heading to Martha’s Vineyard made an unexpected stop in Hartford when their plane had some sort of electrical problem Wednesday morning.
The plane, a Bonanza propeller plane, was carrying the two people from Danbury to the island when the pilot reported the trouble and requested a landing at Brainard Airport, Department of Transportation officials said.
Some landing gear collapsed, damaged a light on the runway and caused the plane to go off the runway, according to the DOT.
Emergency crews responded as a precaution because of the reported electrical issues, but there was no fire. No one was hurt.
