South Main Street in Seymour is closed between Maple and Pearl streets because a large tree has snapped and damaged a utility pole and wires.
Police said the road will be closed until the tree is removed and damage to pole and wires is repaired.
Use Maple and Pearl streets as an alternate route.
Power is out for almost 900 Eversource customers in Seymour. There were around 1,400 power outages right after the tree came down.
