Farmhouse Catches Fire Twice in Two Days

A Civil War-era farmhouse that caught fire Thursday night in East Hartford, displacing 11 families, reignited again Friday morning.

On Thursday, 11 people were displaced by fire at the two-story farmhouse on Sliver Lane. No one was hurt, fire officials said.

Then, on Friday morning, the fire ignited again. It was extinguished shortly before 9 a.m., fire officials said. No one was hurt or injured during the second fire either.

The cause of both fires remains under investigation.
