FedEx Employee Allegedly Steals Packages Mistakenly Dropped at UPS

A FedEx employee allegedly stole customer packages that were mistakenly dropped off at UPS, Stratford police said.

On July 5, Alexander Perez turned himself into the Stratford Police station for an arrest warrant accusing him of larceny, police said.

Police said that customers had accidentally dropped off packages intended for FedEx at a UPS drop off instead. On May 4, instead of delivering the boxes, Perez, who works for FedEx, picked up the packages and stole approximately $4,200 worth of items inside.

The items included screens for computers and GPS units.

Perez is accused of third-degree larceny and is expected to appear in court on July 15.
