Firefighters rescued a cat while responding to a fire on Pine Street in Columbia on Tuesday, according to the Columbia Resident State Trooper’s Office.
A photo from the scene shows a firefighter giving oxygen to a cat and state police said the cat seemed to be doing well and was taken to a veterinarian.
A staff member from Hebron Veterinary Hospital posted that the cat was placed on oxygen therapy and given fluids.
