The NBC Connecticut meteorologists have issued a First Alert for heavy rain and thunderstorms for today through early Thursday, and flash flood watches have been issued for parts of the state.
Flash flood watches were issued for Hartford, Tolland and Windham counties Wednesday afternoon through Thursday morning.
Wednesday brings scattered showers and thunderstorms. Heavier pockets of rain will move in from the south, increasing later today. There is some chance for flash flooding, with the recent heavy rains having already saturated the ground.
An isolated severe storm is also possible.
High temperatures will range between 75 and 80 and it will be humid.
