Go Climb a Tree

Are you looking to tap into your youth? Tree climbing isn't for kids anymore, and there's a competition for it.

The Connecticut Tree Climbing Competition is happening this weekend in Bridgeport.

The Connecticut Tree Protection Association is hosting an adult tree climbing competition on April 25 at Beardsley Park in Bristol, from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. And it's free!

Men and women can showcase their tree-climbing prowess to earn a spot in the New England Tree Climbing Competition in May.

Events include secured foot lock, throw line accuracy, belays speed climb, work climb station, aerial rescue and master's challenge.

All tree climbers who work or live in Connecticut are invited to compete.
