Hartford police have identified the man who was shot and killed on Holcomb Street Wednesday evening.
Police said a Hartford police sergeant who was in the area heard shots fired just after 6:30 p.m. and sent officers to search the area.
Officers found 25-year-old Anthony Swaby inside a vehicle in a driveway at 157 Holcomb St. Swaby lived at that address, police said.
Swaby was taken to St. Francis Hospital for treatment where he died.
Investigators believe the shooter or shooters were outside the vehicle. They are reviewing surveillance footage of the area.
Police said they believe the attack was targeted and that there is no reason to believe there is a risk to the public.
