A 34-year-old man is recovering after an incident at Sound View Beach in Old Lyme on Monday.
State police said officers from the Old Lyme Police Department responded to the beach just before 6 p.m. on Memorial Day after getting a report of a drowning victim and found the victim alert and conscious.
LifeStar later transported the victim to Hartford Hospital. He is currently recovering from his injuries.
No additional information was immediately available.
