Here are some of Kaitlyn McGrath's memories of her time in school:

Who was your favorite teacher and why?

My favorite teacher was Maestra (Mrs.) Licata. She was my Spanish teacher throughout high school. She was one of those teachers who was there for her students far and beyond academics. She was my go-to if I was having a hard time in any capacity of life. Her door was always open and she truly viewed her us as her children and not just her students. We still keep in touch today!

What was your favorite subject in school and why?

I loved math! Being able to solve complex equations and having the instant satisfaction of knowing I was right (most of the time) was really rewarding.

What was your favorite school supply and why?

Pens! I had pens in every color. I’m a very organized person, so my planners were always color coordinated.

What was your favorite extracurricular activity?

I played a number of sports growing up. From soccer, to baseball, skiing, lacrosse, even track and field, I loved them all! However, my steady passion was dancing. I started dancing at age 3 and continued through college and was on the University of Florida Dance Team.
