It was Hamden Animal Control to the rescue when a young kitten got stuck under a deck Monday.
Assistant Animal Control Officer Mitch Gibbs responded to a home on Hill Street when they got a call about a kitten stuck under a house. Gibbs found the kitten 10 to 15 feet under a deck.
In an hour and a half operation, Gibbs was able to rescue the kitten using a fishing net on an extendable pole.
The kitten, which is just 2 to 3 weeks old, was taken to the North Haven Animal Hospital for treatment.
