Last Weekend To Catch Hit Broadway Musical in Thomaston

There's one last weekend to catch the Landmark Community Theatre's presentation of a hilarious hit Broadway musicial.

The theatre group is presenting Mel Brook's "Young Frankenstein" Friday and Saturday night at 8 p.m. with a Sunday matinee at 2 p.m. at the Thomaston Opera House at 158 Main St.

Based on the 1974 film featuring Gene Wilder, the musical follows young Frankenstein as he attempts to bring a corpse back to life, not without scary and hilarous complications.

"The Transylvania Mania," "He Vas My Boyfriend," and "Puttin' on the Ritz" are featured along with many other of the favorite musical numbers from the film.

The Landmark Community Theater is the first local theater company to produce the show since the rights were made available to amateur companies.

The show features locals Chuck Stango as Dr. Frankenstein, Ray Esposito as Igor and Katie Brunettos as Inga.

Tickets are $23 for adults and $19.50 for students and seniors.

Some material may be inappropriate for children 13 years old and younger.
