Lightning may have sparked a fire at a home in Avon Monday afternoon.
Three people were inside the home at 535 Lovely Street during the storm that rolled through around 4 p.m. They smelled smoke and got out of the house.
Firefighters responded to the scene and doused flames near the garage. There was some added concern because the fire was near a propane tank, but it did not explode.
One firefighter was transported to the hospital with an ankle injury.
