State police have arrested a man accused a man of a violent home invasion in Weston in June and said he forced a woman to the ground, restrained her and stole several pieces of jewelry.
The home invasion happened at a Ten O’Clock Lane home on June 5.
When police spoke with the victim, she said a man she did not know rang her doorbell, but she did not answer.
A short time later, the woman heard glass and wood breaking from the back door, then a man came in and confronted her.
After an investigation, police obtained an arrest warrant for Dylan Garner, 42, of Bridgeport. He was charged with home invasion, first-degree larceny, third-degree robbery, first-degree unlawful restraint and third-degree assault.
He was held on $250,000 bond and is due in Norwalk Superior Court today.
The victim’s injuries are not life-threatening, according to state police.
