A man wearing a motorcycle helmet attempted kidnapping a 16-year-old girl in Torrington on Monday, police said.
Police said the attempt happened at Woodland Hills Apartment on Highland Avenue around 2:30 p.m.
The teen told police when she walked into her residence, she was confronted by a man wearing a motorcycle helmet and had a brief struggle with the suspect before he ran off.
The girl was not injured.
The man is described as being about 5 feet 7 inches tall with a medium build. He was wearing a black jacket, red plaid pants and black sneakers, according to Torrington police.
There was no vehicle description provided.
