A man knocked a 66-year-old woman to the ground and stole her purse in Hamden on Saturday afternoon and police are trying to identify him.
Police said they received a complaint of a street robbery with injuries on Mix Avenue at 2:15 p.m. on Saturday and found that the victim, whose shoulder and arm were injured.
They learned the robber got away with several hundred dollars, credit cards and jewelry.
He was described as a clean shaven 6-foot tall man in his late 30s with a medium to heavy build. After the robbery, he got into a black Jeep.
