A Winsted man is charged after admitting to sexually assaulting a girl about 100 times, police said.
Shane Korte, 37, was arrested on July 28 in Torrington.
Newly unsealed court documents show Korte told police he has several mental illnesses, and that he confessed to having sexual contact with the girl over a seven-year period, beginning when she was 6. He denied using physical force against the girl, who is now 14.
Korte pleaded not guilty Tuesday to charges of aggravated sexual assault, first-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor. He is being held on $500,000 bond.
