Milford police have arrested the office manager of a Milford construction company, who is accused of embezzling almost $33,000 from her employer.
On Feb. 4, police received a larceny and embezzlement complaint from Walsh Construction, at 500 Bic Drive, investigated and obtained a warrant for Lori Merritt, 45, 1596 Ella Grasso Boulevard in New Haven.
Police said she is accused of signing her supervisor’s name on company checks while she worked there as an office manager and stealing $32,847.
Merritt has been charged with first-degree larceny, second-degree forgery and criminal impersonation.
She was released on a promise to appear and is due in court on May 12.
