Man Dies in Accident at Nepaug State Forest

A 41-year-old Granby man died after being crushed by his own car Saturday, according to Department of Energy and Environmental Protection officials.

DEEP says Environmental Conservation police responded to an access road in Nepaug State Forest around 7:30 p.m. Police say it appears the victim, identified as Brendan Kohrer, pulled over and was underneath his 2001 Ford Explorer to inspect or repair it when the vehicle rolled over on to him. He was pronounced dead on scene.

The incident does not appear suspicious. It was reported by other people driving the access road who spotted Khorer's vehicle.
