A 72-year-old man has died after he was hit by a vehicle in New Haven Wednesday night, according to police.
Police said the man was using a walker while crossing Dixwell Avenue at Admiral Street just after 8 p.m. when he was struck by a Dodge pickup.
The pedestrian was transported to Yale New Haven Hospital, where he later died.
The driver of the pickup remained at the scene and is cooperating with police, police said.
No additional information was immediately available.
