Detectives are investigating after a body was found in the Connecticut River in Chester Tuesday morning, according to state police.
State troopers were sent to the Chester ferry landing at 10:13 a.m. and the Eastern District Major Crime detectives have taken over the investigation.
No additional information has been released about the person and the office of the chief medical examiner will examine the body to determine the identity and cause of death, according to state police.
