
A 48-year-old man has died after he was struck by a driver in Stamford on Tuesday morning.
Police said Cesar Cabrera-Guzman, of Stamford, was crossing High Ridge Road at 6:50 a.m. when he was hit by a 2012 Chevy Suburban
An off-duty police lieutenant saw the crash and called EMS, then provided treatment to Cabrera-Guzman until EMS arrived and brought him to Stamford Hospital, where Cabrera-Guzman died from his injuries soon after arriving, police said.
The driver of the Chevy Suburban, a 58-year-old Wilton resident, remained at the scene, and is cooperating with the investigation, police said.
