9 protesters face charges after Pro-Palestine sit-in at New Haven Union Station

Nine people are facing charges following a staged sit-in at Union Station in New Haven Thursday night, according to a MTA spokesperson.

About 100 people turned out for the sit-in. The protesters demanded that Rep. Rosa DeLauro call for an immediate ceasefire.

State police responded to the scene along with other law enforcement agencies.

Nine protesters were issued misdemeanor summonses for breach of peace and were told to leave. No one was detained, according to the MTA.

Most of the protestors left the station at roughly 11 p.m.
