One person has died after a car crash on Route 9 North in New Britain.
The highway was closed between exits 37 and 38, but has since reopened.
Troopers said a vehicle struck a light pole. Serious injuries were reported.
State police later said one person was killed in the crash. Troopers identified the driver as 21-year-old Anthony Montminy, of New Haven.

The Collision Analysis Reconstruction Squad is investigating.
The crash was reported at about 3:20 p.m. and the highway reopened several hours later.
