One person was killed when a truck crashed into a tree on Route 14A in Sterling Wednesday.
State police said the victim, identified as Donald Gould, 50, of Foster, RI, was driving west on Route 14A when for some reason he went off the roadway and crashed into a tree near the Rhode Island line. Gould was fatally injured in the crash.
The road was closed for several hours while police investigated. The investigation is ongoing.
