Simsbury police are reminding residents to lock their cars after two vehicles were stolen out of driveways overnight.
Police say sometime overnight Friday into Saturday two vehicles were stolen – one from the driveway at 42 Massaco Street, and another from the driveway at 7 Griffin Street. Both vehicles were unlocked with keys left inside.
Several unlocked cars were also entered and searched through in the area, including Carver Circle.
Earlier in the week a vehicle was stolen from the driveway at 14 Simsbury Manor and several other unlocked vehicles were rummaged through by unknown suspects.
Police offer the following tips to protect your property:
- Don’t leave valuables in vehicles
- Always lock vehicles
- Do not leave keys in vehicles
- Use exterior lights and/or motion sensor lights around your property.
- Report any suspicious activity to police.
Police are investigating the incidents and increasing patrols. Anyone with information about these crimes is asked to call Simsbury police at (860) 658-3100.
