StubHub, the ticket reselling company, will begin closing its East Granby offices today.
The company is planning an initial round of layoffs before closing the office completely next year.
“As announced earlier this year, StubHub made a strategic business decision to move its Center of Excellence for Customer Experience and Trust Operations from East Granby to Salt Lake City. Today, we began the transition process that will continue over the next several months as we prepare for the relocation,” a statement from StubHub says. “During this time, the East Granby office will remain open until the Spring of 2018. We thank each and every StubHub representative, as well as the East Granby community, for their support over the last 12 years as our North American customer service hub.”
More than 197 jobs will move from East Granby to Salt Lake City, Utah, according to the company.
