A teenage girl and boy were shot late Tuesday night outside a New Haven elementary school.
Police responded to the Lincoln Bassett Elementary School on Butler Street around midnight.
A 18-year-old girl had been shot in the arm and a 17-year-old boy had been hit in the stomach, police said.
The girl was taken to Yale New Haven Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The boy was sent into surgery and his wounds were listed a serious. Their conditions are unknown Wednesday morning.
Police said 50-60 other young people were also hanging around near the scene. School is not in session this week.
