United Technologies Corporation will cut about 1,500 jobs in Connecticut in 2009. That's 6% of its workforce in the state. Pratt & Whitney and Hamilton Sundstrand will likely bear the brunt of the cuts, which will come primarily from the aerospace companies' white-collar workforces.
