A West Hartford woman was arrested on drunken driving charges after celebrating her 21st birthday, according to West Hartford Police.
Police arrested Haleigh MacCloy, 21, of West Hartford, after responding to a car crash on Flagg Road near Albany Avenue at 4:20 a.m. on Friday.
MacCloy was driving east on Flagg Road when she lost control of her 2000 VW Beetle.
According to West Hartford police, she hit a snow bank on the right side of the road and veered to the left side of the street, where she hit another snow bank and flipped the car onto the passenger side.
MacCloy was not hurt and another driver helped her get out of the car.
Police said MacCloy’s blood alcohol concentration was found to be .213 and .207. She was charged with DWI, traveling too fast and failure to drive right.
MacCloy was released on a $1,000 non-surety bond and is due in court on March 13.
Her birthday is Feb. 27, according to the police news release.
