A 51-year-old Shelton woman is dead after the motorcycle she was driving collided with a commercial box truck near a Harley Davidson dealership in New London.
According to New London police, the crash occurred near 951 Bank Street, near Mike's famous Harley Davidson, just after 2 p.m. on Saturday.
Police have identified the woman as Donna Starzecki.
They believe she was pulling out of a business with the intention of turning right on Bank Street. Instead, the motorcycle crossed the double yellow line and struck a box truck traveling the opposite direction.
Starzecki was transported to Lawrence & Memorial Hospital where she died of her injuries.
Bank Street was closed for several hours while the police investigated the incident.
Police are investigating.
