With a gentle tug on the hand, a father included his daughter's stepdad in one of the most symbolic and meaningful parts of her wedding, a touching wedding gesture that's gone viral.
Todd Bachman, the biological father to Brittany Peck, pulled her stepfather, Todd Cendrosky, with them down the aisle on Peck's wedding day in LaGrange Township, Ohio, according to NBC affiliate WKYC.
"Not a dry eye at the ceremony..including me! Families are what we make them...make it about your kids and not your ego," wedding photographer Delia Blackburn wrote on Facebook, in a photo of the momentt that's gone viral since it was posted Saturday.
Within two days, more than 1 million people have liked the photos she posted of Peck and her two dads on her wedding day.
A father walking his daughter down the aisle is a tradition usually reserved for the bride's biological father, and Cendrosky didn't expect to join Peck, according to WKYC. But that doesn't mean he didn't think about it.
"(It) crossed my mind every time when we went and tried on tuxes," Cendrosky told the station.
Bachman told WKYC he decided to do something special for Cendrosky as a gesture of thanks.
"What better way to thank someone than to assist me walking our daughter down the aisle," Bachman said.
