Former East Lyme resident Ryan Pivirotto competed in the men’s 500 m short-track speedskating event in the 2022 Winter Olympics Friday morning and will be moving on to the quarterfinals this weekend.
Pivirotto came in third in his heat and qualified as best third to compete on Sunday morning.
