INDIE ANTHEMS: Make some room in your schedule to hit the Space in Hamden tonight to check out Elsinore. The band tongue-in-cheekly calls themselves an indie Death Cab for Cutie. Elsinore brings you honest, mid '00's sonic pop with a background of soaring arena-rock tendencies. They'll be taking the stage tonight with New Haven band Salivating Eyes as well as Speak in Verse and Rivera. Tickets cost $10. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
BE STILL: Sometimes you just need to treat yourself to a truly indulgent feast. And tonight can be that night. Head to the Still River Cafe in Eastford for a 10-course chef's tasting menu. From the amuse bouche to the appetizers that include egg & caviar to the entrees that include seared lamb loin an assortment of desserts, you won't eat like this any time soon. It's $75 a person to dine. Reservations are a must.
BURY ME: You'd be hard pressed to find a guy in entertainment who's chosen his work more wisely than Jared Leto. He gained cult fame for his role on the cult hit "My So Called Life." He traded in the teen angst for a something a little more adult in a critically acclaimed role in "Fight Club." (never before has a "pretty boy" been so willing to get himself disfigured for a role) But if acting helped pay the bills, Jared has embraced his creative side through music. Since 1998, he's been the front man of Thirty Seconds to Mars, who hit it big with their 2005 album "A Beautiful Lie." Tonight, you can see the band at the Webster in Hartford. Tickets are $25. The show, which also features Violent Soho, Waking Elliot, Seven Days Of Grey, Rivera, Tremont and Album starts at 6:30 p.m.
