Deals and Free Stuff on Veterans Day



    On Tuesday, we honor veterans and several businesses are offering freebies or discounts to those who serve in the military. In some cases, deals extend to family members as well.

    Free Admission to Mystic Aquarium

    U.S. veterans and active-duty U.S. military personnel can go to Mystic Aquarium for free through Tuesday, Nov. 11 in honor of Veterans Day. A military ID is required.

    The aquarium is also offering a $5 discount off the already reduced military family rate to family members. Tickets are $15.95 for adults, $12.95 for youth between 13 and 17 and $10.95 for children between 3 and 12. The discount is on the general admission only.

    Free Dental Cleanings

    Columbia Dental will provide free dental checkups and cleaning from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday at their main office In Manchester at 483 West Middle Turnpike, Suite 300 in Manchester for U.S military veterans and men and women currently serving in the military. Patients will be seen on a first come, first serve basis and will be asked to show their military ID.


    Applebees is offering veterans and active-duty military a free meal on Tuesday. Get the details on the restaurant’s Web site.

    California Pizza Kitchen

    California Pizza Kitchen is offering complimentary pizzas and pasta dishes on Tuesday for members of the U.S. military. Get the details here.

    Chuck E. Cheese's

    All U.S. Armed Forces veterans and active-duty military will receive 20 free tokens through Saturday, Nov. 15. You will need a military ID or proof of service, but no coupon is needed.


    All military can get a free entrée at Hooter’s on Tuesday.


    IHOP is offering free Red, White and Blue pancakes to veterans and active-duty military from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday.

    Red Lobster

    Service members will receive a free appetizer from Nov. 11 to Nov. 14.

    Red Robin

    Red Robin is offering all veterans and active-duty service members a free Red’s Tavern Double burger with Bottomless Steak Fries on Tuesday, Nov. 11, at participating restaurants across the country.

    Red Robin will also make a donation of $10,000 to Wounded Warrior Project.

    Red Robin Royalty is a year-round program that offers deals to veterans, retired, active duty and military spouses.


    On Tuesday, Starbucks is offering veterans, active duty service members and spouses a free tall hot brewed coffee at participating stores. There is a limit of one per customer.
