Attempted Abduction in Manchester

Manchester Police are searching for a man who attempted to pull a teenage girl into his car on Thursday afternoon on Center Street.

According to police,  a 13 year-old girl was dropped off in front of 161 Center St. shortly before 4:30 p.m. and a man in a tan four-door vehicle approached her and asked her to get into the car.

When she refused, the man got out of the car, grabbed the girl's arm and attempted to force her into the car, police said.

The girl fought off the man, who then got back in his car and fled down Center Street.

The man is described as 40 to 50 years old white or Hispanic male. He was wearing a black T-shirt and khaki pants. One of his front teeth was broken.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 860-645-5561.
