Couple Accused of Conspiring to Commit Murder, Assault

Milford police have arrested a couple accused of conspiring to kill and assault two people.

Police have arrested Gregory Christofakis, 50, and Ziba Guy, 44, both former Milford residents who now live in Orange.

Police said they have been arrested in connection with an alleged plan to solicit the murder and assault of their ex-spouses.

Guy's former husband said that Christofakis and Guy had been threatening him and he feared something like this would happen.

Christofakis, who owns Greg's Auto Body in Milford, has been charged with criminal attempt to commit murder and conspiracy to commit assault in the first degree.

He is being held on a $1 million bond.

Christofakis was convicted last year of third-degree assault and sentenced to one year in jail with a conditional discharge after 18 months. In 2006, he was convicted of criminal violation of a restraining order, according to court records.

Guy, an Ob/Gyn in New York, has been charged with conspiracy to commit assault in the first degree and is being held on a $500,000 bond.

The cases have been transferred to part A for Oct 23.

The arrest documents are sealed until Dec. 3.
